About me
Hi! I'm Julia, a communications specialist with experience in social media management, graphic design, and video-editing.
I'm currently based in Amsterdam, but before moving to the Netherlands, I had the opportunity to live in 12 different countries while attending a traveling high school (yes, I know it sounds made-up). This experience has directly affected how I approach both my life and my creative process. I'm always excited to meet new people, explore new tools, ideas, and places.
Besides doing creative work, you can find me at the cinema (I'm a big Letterboxd fan), cooking various noodle dishes, and reading about politics.
I hold a Master's degree in Political Communication at the University of Amsterdam, where I focused on media strategies and visual analysis of political social media content. My studies have equipped me with an understanding of the modern media landscape and effective communications strategies, as well as quantitative and qualitative research skills.
My theoretical background allows me to think about my creative work more deeply, considering not only its aesthetic value, but also possible audience reactions, accessibility, and accuracy of the information it contains.
